May this cordial greeting serve to comment upon the state of commercial aviation in this country, which finds itself in a difficult point in time, distinguished by an excess in supply and the increasing price trend of jet fuel, among others, requiring us all as service providers to take decisive action and make proper use of all resources, systems and processes in order to be more efficient and effective.
In this sense, we highlight that Aeromexico in conjunction with their Globalizer are pioneers in automating reservations and ticketing in our country; particular interest has focused on facilitating access to our products for travel agencies.
In this way, procedures have been put in place so that you, “our main contact with the public”, always find seat availability, rates and tourist packages; until the last available seat is sold.
Activities such as creating fictitious and/or duplicate reservations or segments without cancelling affects us directly and at the same time distorts the availability of spaces (sale and income) to travel agencies themselves; actions that given the characteristics of the Globalizers permit the identification of who has generated them, which allows the application of corrective measures. At the end of the day activities like the ones just mentioned represent a great expense for the airline.
Therefore, I ask for your support in this joint effort to improve the management and effectiveness of the reservations system, through the following:
- Do not create ficticious PNRs or duplicate passengers.
Taking action on cancellations reported by Aeromexico due to non-ticketed reservation, duplicity, passive segments, no-show passengers, modifications made by the passenger, etc. following the procedure for purging of Queues.
- Follow up on waiting lists requests and in the case of unconfirmed reservations cancelling and advising passengers.
- Notifying clients in due time of itinerary changes as reported by Aeromexico and updating the corresponding reservation.
